Saturday 7th of May 2022, a walk around the old Lancaster canal near Johnsons Hillock locks, meet at the Top Lock pub, sadly closed, to start the walk at 10am. The walk will be about 6 miles, round Whittle le Woods, and the Walton Summit branch with a stop for lunch at the old basin with the Co-op shop close by, bring a packed lunch or buy something from the shop. You will need a torch for the tunnels and a good level of fitness to walk the full route, there are also several stiles.

Nigel has led this walk before and is repeating it due to popular demand.
