PRIVACY POLICY

  1. We receive information covered by the General Data Protection Regulations from the following sources although not all will provide the same information:
    1. Website
    2. Emails
    3. Post
    4. Personal meetings ie Shows and Socials
  1. They come in the following ways although not all will provide the same information:
    1. Membership applications
    2. 100 Club applications
    3. Requests to receive Email news bulletins

            Members giving us email addresses receive them automatically

  1. Persons seeking information about the trust and its activities or making purchases from the Trust
  1. They provide all or some of this information: name, address, email, telephone.
  1. In future the Trust will always obtain permission to retain information at the time it is given whether by the website or any other source.
  1. Members There are exemptions to the obtaining of consent one of which includes membership organisations. The Trustees have considered the regulations carefully and are satisfied that the Trust comes within the terms of the exemption relating to members. We are allowed to send members documents such as official documents relating the trust which we are legally obliged to supply you with and any other documents about the Trust or its activities we consider is in your interest to know without your formal consent, including the Email news bulletin news and direct marketing material for fundraising. Except for the legal documents relating to the annual meeting you can withdraw your consent at any time to receiving any other printed matter.
  1. 100 Club members and persons who receive the monthly email bulletin who are not members of the Trust. We consider that because you are donating or have shown interest in the Trust you have sufficient interest in the Trust to want to receive further information from it such as the monthly email bulletin and direct marketing material for fundraising. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
  1. Other non members we require your formal consent to send you any communication, unless you have formally requested us to ie a request for information. In future whether you contact us via the website, email or letter we will ask for your written consent if we wish to keep any information you have given us such as email address, postal address, or telephone number. If you do not give your consent these details will be deleted once the transaction has been completed. If you have given your consent you can withdraw it at anytime.
  1. In return for keeping this information we agree
    1. that you can withdraw your consent to receiving these documents, except ones we are legally obliged to supply, at any time,
    2. that we will not disclose your details to any other person or organisation,
    3. that we will not send you any advertising material directly, although we reserve the right to accept advertising in Waterwitch,
    4. that if you cease to be a member of the Trust or 100 Club or decide you don’t want us to hold your details we will destroy them after a reasonable period.
